Remember, with anxiety and excitement the response is the same:
- Slow your thoughts down, focus on the present. Even when a good thing happens–especially when a good thing happens–keep your focus solely on the present.
- Immerse yourself completely in the action at hand. The other demands will come at their present time. For now, just focus on this one action, then the next–one action at a time. Demonstrate focus and calmness to your mind through attentive, deliberate, and purposeful action.
- This moment is all you have–not later, not before—this second, right here. There’s no place, no thing, better than here because you can only experience happiness in the moment.
