Continue to Succeed: Don’t Stop Here

Consider: don’t spend too much time admiring your successes. Get back to work.

It can be so tempting to sit there and soak it all in. There’s nothing wrong with a healthy dose of self-congratulations and celebration. Just remember what got you there in the first place: work. Consistent action. Remember how to respond to excitement: focus on the present.

Keep doing what you did to get yourself where you are so happy to be now. Keep working. Keep pressing on. It’s easy to forget in moments like these that the journey, the daily doing–the small wins–are really what’s rewarding. It’s what keeps you coming back. It’s the reason why you’re doing all this. It’s the reason you keep pressing on.

This moment is just one small glance in the mirror. A momentary realization of efforts made: progress. Try not to get hung up on it. Like climbing a ladder and looking down, you can freak yourself out. It leads to distraction, voice chatter in your head. It hampers your ability to focus on what’s before you and continue to succeed.

Keep moving forward:

  • Don’t stop here. Acknowledge your accomplishments, congratulate your progress made, and get back to work.
  • Remember, it’s the work that is fun–the daily doing. It’s the small wins that provide the greatest rewards.
  • This is just one small win in a stream of more small wins. Let’s keep going and see them come. Let’s get back to work and make more happen.
