Feel Tired, Act Anyway

Tired as you are—tired as you may be—bound by this body and its limitations, you can summon the strength to persevere through any physical ailment you encounter, even now. Your strength is found in where you focus your attention, and all you need to focus on is this moment, this very second, alone.

You need only remind yourself what is true: you have more than enough energy to do what you need to do for this moment alone.

When you view your circumstances this way, there is no fear; you know you are ready and able to face whatever befalls you. You feel tired, but it doesn’t hold much weight; it’s just a feeling—it means nothing to your ability to act this moment, nor does it predict the outcome of your day.

Focus on what is true:

  • “I am feeling tired” AND “I have more than enough energy to conquer this one task before me.”
  • “I am feeling tired” AND “I have more than enough energy in me to give 100% to this one moment alone.”
  • “I am feeling tired” AND “I have more than enough energy to do what I set out to do.”
