When Things Go Badly

Some days things don’t go according to plan. We fail to meet our expectations, we don’t perform as we desired.

Consider:

  • Just for today: Focus on what is right for a change. Instead of learning from your mistakes, learn from what is working and going right.

  • What went well today? What efforts are you proud of? What strengths can you focus on and enhance for tomorrow?

  • If you are feeling burnt out and disappointed with yourself, consider focusing on your strengths for a change. Give yourself a break and remind yourself to enjoy yourself along the way. Celebrate your successes and remind yourself of how far you’ve come.
