Accepting and Loving the Process

Only when you really love the gritty grind of it all, can you endure it happily. To know that even when you aren’t feeling happy—even when you’re feeling tired, low energy, or mood—you still are happy. You know that you are happy underneath it all.

That’s the beauty of loving the process. Even when your mind is tired, your body, unhappy, you can still find joy in living. You can sit quietly in your discomfort and still know that you’re doing all right. The discomfort you feel yields to the steady calm, the quiet joy, in your heart. You can step back and see that this is just one moment—one circumstantial moment—in the grand journey. It’s not the whole picture. This feeling, this sadness, this pain, is only temporary. It will pass. Like all things do.

It’s about accepting the whole process: the rough terrain and the peaks. This is where I am in my journey. This is where I am on the road to where I am going. To wish for anything else would mean I would have to give up where I am now and I don’t want to. I know I am where I need to be at this moment. Everything, everything I’ve experienced and chosen has led me to where I am now. And everything I am experiencing now will lead me to where I want to go. It’s all meaningful. It all matters. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.
